I'm designing a custom acrylic reef tank - 38x18x22h (to fit a particular piece of funtiture - WAF at work...

Just wondering what the RC community has to say about routing all the plumbing through the bottom?
Or, maybe I'm a crazy nut and I should be stopped before I flood the living room!?
I would be looking at a single 1-1.5 inch drain to sump via voerfloe and standpipe with two 3/4" returns to spray bars.
Also a 3/4" outlet and two 3/4" inlets for closed loop(on SCWD).
