Salinity VS PPM

My tank seems to always be low on calcium and alk. I don't have a lot of coral either. It may be the coralline algae on the back glass but anyway,

salinity=1.024
Ca=370
alk=8.0
Mag=1050
Ph=8.6 ! At the end of lighting cycle topoff with Kalk

I dosed 1.6 gallons per day of Kalk (2 teaspoons per gallon) for 3 days and the calcium and alk stayed the same.

I checked the makeup water (Kent)
salinity 1.024
Cal= 370
alk 9.6
Mag 1100

I have diluted the kalkwasser.
My question is "if I raise the salinity of makeup water to 1.025 will the values go to natural sea water values?"
My Mag has always been low.
Salifert test kits.

Raising water from a sg of 1.024 to 1.025 (by concentrating it) would raise the concentration of everything in it by 4%. Calcium would rise from 370 to 385 ppm.

If you raised the sg all the way to NSW (sg = 1.0264), then things will rise by 10%, with calcium at 370 rising to 407 ppm. :)

IMO, I'd raise the sg to 1.0264 just to match the ocean, but I would not expect it to solve the low magnesium.
