Saltwaterfish.com vs LiveAquaria vs ???

Thoughts on these?

Looks like saltwaterfish.com has a better selection in stock but a friend of mine has had good experiences with Live Aquaria. Looking to order soon....maybe a group order?

never ordered from liveaquaria but ordered from saltwaterfish and i was really happy with the packaging of the animals and how fast it was delivered it said by 1030 and i had it by 915 but that just might have been me. but i was really happy with the packaging and the delivery.

I usually go through liveaquaria. I have found that they have great customer service and also delivery by the specified time. They usually ship standard overnight, not priority, so you may not get the package until 3 in the afternoon. I once tried to order from saltwaterfish.com but they processed my order incorrectly and charged my account 4 times for the order. When all was said and done I just cancelled the whole thing. I was only able to contact them by email, no phone, but it was all resolved. What are you looking to order?

Never ordered with Liveaquaria but I have once with saltwaterfish.com, awesome packaging, everything arrived great and their shipping is dirt cheap (around $20 if you order $80 worth of stuff).

That is cheap. Do you know if they now have a customer service phone number? Last time I tried they didn't and I haven't tried ordering again from them partly due to that

They do not make their number readily available which is what puts off some people. DOA's should be reported through e-mail and while it may take a bit longer to resolve an issue through e-mail I have heard most issues are cleared up.

From what I've heard, both company's are quite reputible, so I would be comfortable ordering from either one.

LiveAquaria (aka Drs Fosters and Smith) can't be beat for online orders. 14 day return policy on livestock, no questions asked (well, they ask, but never refuse a refund or re-order). Customer service is unbelievable - they bend over backwards to accomodate the customer. I'm sometimes hard-pressed to get that level of help and warmth from some of the LFS' around here. Also, prices are as low as I've seen out there.
If you are doing a group order through them, PM me, as I'll contribute and split the $35 shipping cost.

I can agree that LA has unmatched customer service and guarantee policy.

As has been previously stated Saltwaterfish.com does not have any contact number at all which I personally have a problem with and will not order from them on that alone.

Sounds like LiveAquaria is preferred though the other is OK. My guess is I'd be targeting next week or week after but I need to work out a few things.
FYI - I am looking to get a mandarin (the two small ones from Sharkys reef both died within 24 hours in my tank - but everything else is fine; guessing they were just not in great shape), fair amount of cleanup crew types (snails crabds, possibly a shrimp). Possibly goby/pistol shrimp. Maybe a coral or two but that is less likely. Not sure what my friend wants.

I have used Saltwaterfish.com .I had a DOA I sent them a email and had the issue resolved in 15min with a credit back.Ive place 5 orders with them wih no problems all my orders are delivered before 10am.

i have ordered form both and like LA better, the 1 time i had a problem with LA they credited my card, i had a doa from saltwaterfish and they gave me a credit toward my next order, well i had to order 90 bucks more worth of stuff to get the credit.
I had a serious issue with that and have not ordered since.

Thanks everyone. When I get ready to put the LA order in, I'll post in case anyone wants to join in and spread the shipping cost.

I have bought all of my rare fish from liveaquaria divers den and you can't beat the perfect specimens you receive. I love the 14 day live guarantee. I had a fish die within 24 hours afer receiving it and I was refunded right away. The customer service is outstanding. I buy about 95% of my corals and fish from liveaquaria. I don't buy local anymore

Scott - do you quarantine evrything from LA?

Liveaquaria divers den stuff is already quarantine before it goes on the selling page. But I quarantine everything anyways for a week. You just never know. But everything is healthy when it comes in.

Scott- the stuff not on the Divers den page is not quarantined by LA? Or am I misinterpreting what you posted?

The stuff on divers den is quarantined. Sorry about that. But I like to quarantine my stuff when I get it in. Just in case.

Just ordered a Belize Lightening Wrasse from LA 3 weeks ago and he is doing great!! Extremely healthy and looking alot better than most of the fish I see locally. Customer Service is great too.
