Sand in clam

It doesn't seem like there is too much I can do about it, but my blenny decided to dig a hole today in the DSB, which is fine but in carrying the sand away in his mouth he sprinkled it all over my new squamosa. Hard to believe because the clam is over 2 feet from the blenny comstruction site. Anyway, I am wondering if a small amount of sand is going to hurt the clam? Has anyone had this experience besides me? Thanks in advance for your help.

FWIW- I have a 3 year old squamosa on my SB that for one reason or another bits of sand gets on the mantle from time to time. He can usually get rid of it himself with no help. If its concerning you though just take a baster or your hand and gently swish away the sediment.
