Sand Sifters?

I used to own a blue cheeked sand sifting goby, but it was a tank w no corals. Im itching to get another one but... Now I have corals... I know they can be as messy as they are clean by spraying every where. Can people please tell me your experiences w any type of sand sifting goby and corals. TY!! Oh he would be in a 28 gal!

Bullet Gobies are IMO very effective but not as messy as say, a Diamond Goby. BGs don't dig burrows, so they sift but don't bulldoze the place. I had one in a 14g hex for over a year before moving up to a 55.

I've also heard that a good way to tell whether the personality of the fish is to spray everywhere or to keep close to the bottom is to watch the goby while they're at the store and just see what they do, but then again they would need sand to show you their habits.

Is the Bullet Goby also a night jumper?

Man I bought a Diamond Goby a few months ago he didnt last more than a week. He jumped out of the tank :(

I had a bullet goby, one of the first fish I ever bought. Had him over 4 years, went from a 14 hex to a 55 to a 90. Finally died of some kind of abdominal ailment.

I've had a Diamond Goby in my 55 now for about 2 years, no jumping. There's a canopy on both of my tanks, but shrimp have managed to find their way out the back.
