Scarlet Crab Loses Leg

I just got back from a business trip and noticed my Scarlet Hermit Crab is missing a leg. I found the leg on the other side of the tank. My brother was taking care of the tank while I was gone and he said everything was fine and hadn't noticed the leg.

Is he gonna be alright?

Are you sure it's a leg, and not a claw? crabs lose claws all the time - they will grow back. Part of the molting process.

I saw the leg and it didn't look like there was a claw anywhere on it so I'm pretty sure it's a leg.

I'll have to check to see if he has both his claws. He's behind a huge rock right now so it's hard to tell.
