sea hares safe for reef tanks??

i recently purchased a sea hare for algae control are they reef safe??
i heard they can ink when startled

Should only be a problem when you run out of algae. Once the algae is gone, so should go the Hare as it will starve to death. If it was to die in the tank you could see a problem, though still not likely.

They are reef safe, and they will eat algea like crazy... They usually only ink when dissturbed, attacked, or squeezed.
