Sedra 2000 pump shutting off

I have Sedra 20000 pump that will run for about 5 second and then just down. I purchased a new impeller and the same thing happens. Any ideas? Thanks

sounds like a short

on most pumps, if not in warranty for replacement it may just be th end of the road and time for a new pump.

Many times when this happens you can get them to go for extended periods of time by hitting them or pulling back and forth on the cord until it connects, but in many cases they will at some point start dumping electricity into the water.
