SEIO--how to take apart

Hey everyone,

My SEIO died on me a couple of days ago. I took it out when replacing my canopy w/a new one I built and when I plugged it back in, it was making noise but nothing was coming out.

Does anyone know how to take these apart to clean the impeller?

I can get to the impeller, but cannot remove it as I could w/the Rio pumps.

Just pull on the rod that sticks out from the impeller.

I've tried that and there is a lot of resistance--I wasnt sure if it was supposed to come out of if I was breaking the thing.

If I do it and it doesnt work, I'm writing RIO (SEIO). I'm fed up w/replacing pumps after only a short time.
