Seneye System for PAR Measuring

Anybody using the Seneye Monitor for testing PAR in their tank? Trying to decide if worth buying or should just pull trigger and get an Apogee. I am using LED to light my tank.

BRS did a review on the Seneye and used it when placing their corals in their "52 Weeks" series. I have one and it seems to do pretty good, but I only use it for its light sensing capability.

I have one and it's been very useful. It's as accurate as a par meter can be for the price.

How long is the cord? Have to make sure long enough to hook up on laptop.

They make an extension cable, but I would guess any USB extender cable will work?

Yes, I use an USB extension so that I don't have to have my laptop anywhere near the water.

Received the meter today and tried testing my LEDs. WOW, had no idea of the PAR I am getting with my fixture. At present settings, I have a PAR of ~250 at sand bed directly under the fixture and a max of 700 at water surface. The majority of the corals are in the 350-500 range.

I have one and while I wouldn't really trust the exact number it has been useful to see numbers to track and compare when switching out lighting.

Understood. I will be changing over to another brand of LEDs so wanted a way to gauge what values to start at to acclimate tank to new lights. Looking at doing about 65% of current setting as per manufacturer's recommendation.
