sexing pistols

I was wondering if anyone has either tried or has suggestions as to sexing and pairing pistol shrimp. I know that the odds of rearing the larvae are very low, but that is not main purpose for pairing them. I'm especially interested how Nicole C got her pistol pair. Thanks in advance.

I got them from another reefer She paired them by accident.

Peter S. posted the details on how to sex them about a week or two ago.
