Sexual Halimeda, good or bad?

This is now the 2nd time my halimeda went sexual on me. I posted to this thread the last time it happened. Little broccoli-like florets that released pollen or spores or something into the tank and turned it all turbid. Last time I exchanged the water to clarify. This time I took a chance and let it clear by itself. It appears that all is well, although tonight I do plan on a water exchange. I do suspect that my corals gorged themselves on the stuff, their polyps were all contracted until the stuff cleared.

Has anyone else had any similar experiences and what did you do about it?

From what I've heard it's a bad thing, although I've never experienced it personally. Generally it can cause serious water quality issues. Usually people do large water changes as soon as possible.
