Should I drill out the venturi for a Sedra 5000 meshmod?

Will the meshmod pull more air with an enlarged air intake or should I just leave it alone?

yes, you should make a larger air intake for the venturi. It will pull a little bit more air with just the mesh...but ton's more with the mesh and a larger air line.
