Should I get a Valentini puffer?

Fishy 1

The Reefer From Downunder
Hey everyone:) I am considering getting a valentini puffer for my 67gal fowlr tank. The tank has a pair of occ clowns and a firefish, it also has a bunch of snails that breed all the time and some hermits. Would the puffer get on well with my other fish? I'm OK if some snails get eaten as there are stacks of them.
I would love some info on their care needs and anything else I need to know about them.
Thanks in advance, Fishy :)

;):):):)
Do they show aggression to small fish like my 1 1/2 inch clownfish?
He leaves my clowns alone. It is actually a friendly fish. But yours might not be 100% the same as the one I have so don't be upset at me if it does nip snails and such. But I believe they are relatively safe.

Hehehe I have unlimited access to the snails I have (I live next too the sea) and they breed like crazy, so I really couldn't care less if it eats some of the little ones(it might keep the snail numbers in check and they'll help keep his teeth short;) ). I just want to make sure the VP won't hurt my smaller clown.

Is your VP a male or female? I heard that sometimes the males are a bit more bitty than the girls?

I think it is a male. It has the blue and green lines around the eye. He has been good. Eats a lot and leaves everything alone. I think you will be fine.

OK cool :) I'll try and get to the lfs tomorrow and see what they have :).
What do you feed your puffer and how do you keep his teeth short?

He is a pig. Eats anything and to keep teeth short I feed shrimp that you get at the market. muscles and clams are good when you split them in half.
