Should I run Carbon 24/7?

There's people that do each and report success with it. Personally, I run it for a 3 day period just before a water change every 1 - 2 weeks. We keep a mix of soft corals and LPS, which includes a large toadstool leather (the main reason for me running carbon at all).

I don't run carbon unless there's a particular reason to. I really don't see any observable difference when I do, and the water tests no differently.

The important thing is to not let it stand without running for long enough that yellowing substances can build up - so that the corals are shocked when you turn it back on.

That's ocean blue...the best water money can buy. I guess the skimmer that I have on that bowl isn't working as well as I'd like.

You think that imperor Angelfish excretes blue? Maybe you are soaking the fishfood in food coloring!

You mean THE coral, but you do have a DSB to provide a nice anaerobic environment for bacteria!
