I have been watching some GSP get dangerously close to a Hammer coral the last few weeks.
You can tell from the picture that the GSP has already spread underneath the Hammer and the Frogspawn. Although I knew the GSP was spreading up the stalks of both corals, I did not know how close they were getting until I checked this morning.
It seems that the GSP is starting to cover up the tissue at the Hammer coral's base. It has already covered up a couple of polyps that were starting to bud from the Hammer (it is a little fuzzy, but you can still see some one of the little buds with some GSP on both sides of it.)
Should I start peeling back the GSP now or will it stop spreading on its own? If I should peel it back, does anyone have any tips on the best way I can go about doing it without harming the Hammer coral?
