Show me your Angelfish!

I picked up a 5" blueface angel from my LFS on friday afternoon. By Fri. night it ate ~12 3mm pellets very aggressively. Saturday, between all the feedings, it ate 5 total pellets and mysis shrimp(served twice).

sat. night it didnt eat anything. tried twice today and it wont touch anything? (nls pellets, flakes, mysis shrimp, rod's food, nori)

i have it by itself in a 40g breeder with LR.

this is an already aquarium acclimated BF. it was for a local guy for a few months and was returned back to the LFS b/c it was eating corals. before i bought it, i saw it ate small NLS pellets at the LFS.

Just a little antsy b/c this is my 1st big fish.

I feed clams,krill,silversides,O.N. Form 1,2, angel form. just started feeding mysis, and lifeline frozen cube too, I add Vitachem, and Aminomega to the mix also. Only thing that slows it down is when I seperate them. I ruled out stray voltage. I even added a bio pellet reactor to try and control nitrates. Nothing seems to stop it from happening though. I kept the Blue face in QT for 2 months never had a sighn of it. As soon as I added it to the display within a month started showing signs of it. Right now the only other angel I have with it is a 7 inch annularis with 1 eye. Thats the only angel that I have that doesn't have it. I just put the tank in hypo too for an outbreak of ich. So now I'm sure the Blueface will get worse.

Not knowing how you maintain the qt my first thought would be to check the water parameters. Maybe even a partial WC then try a live clam to see if this will entice him to eat.

Good luck with your new angel and it's one of my favorite.

Is the QT running all the while?
Have you check your water parameter?

One food additive seems extremely helpful is kent zoe+zoecon according to my friend who facing same problem. Nori also help as well. So may be include these in your fishes diet.

Normally when I do hypo, I will dose double/triple dosage of trace element.

no ammonia or nitrite as of last night. i'll check again later.

it ate a couple of pellets a few minutes ago. didnt touch the mysis shrimp.

Got my Queen Angel on Friday but its a small one so there is no way I could put it in my FO tank at home, I have it in a new display take I settup in my store pritty little one

The Mesoluecus seems to be popular, one of my favorite fish just cant find a big one to play with my big bruisers LOL

It is a 100gal Show from SeaClear. The build quality of the tank is fantastic. I cannot say enough about it. Prior to the SeaClear I had a ******* tank. The ******* was bowing up to a 1/2" in the front, and back. A 1/2" in only twenty inches of height. I thought it was going to explode, literally. So I got rid of it at the dump. Expensive piece of junk was all it was.
