Give me some ideas fellas! And also please list what optics and how far off the water they are. Thanks!!

I'd love to see this too. I'm in the middle of building a 96 led set up from RapidLed but can't think of where I'm going to mount my drivers and stuff. Didn't want them on the heat sink ... and was thinking of mounting them to the back wall of my canopy ...

I'm building one right now (canopy AND canopy mounted LED fixture)...give me a week or to to finish and I'll post some pics and a link to my DIY thread.

im doing the same thing now... my initial thought was to mount the drivers on the back wall or sides of the canopy. I saw a thread somewhere, where the guy did a remote box and mounted all of the drivers about 5 feet away from the tank. I am unsure about how that would efect the amps?

No issues with the remotely mounted drivers.
Here you can see 3 MeanWell drivers mounted inside the electrical compartment of the stand.
There is a 6 foot power cable that goes up to the LED fixture.

Snooth,
Great looking stand.
The hinges on the side are they for door/covers
Cause i am building a six ft stand and i need ideas for doors and how to hinge them. I want to leave the center open with no bracing.

this is the top to my 92 corner tank, it has 28 cree led's on seperate white/blue dimable strings mounted on 3/16 aluminum plates that are suspended by screws and spacers for airflow behind the plates this also makes them slightly adjustable by turning the screws i can alter the angle of the plate right now bolth the front and back plates are angled slightly (4-6*)tward the center of the tank. the led's are about 9-10 inches off the top of the water with 80* optics the whole inside is lined with miror polished aluminum sheeting(12-15 hours with a car buffer) mainly becouse this hood used to house 4 pc bulbs but the reflector eliminates any spotlighting effect becouse the reflected light fills in all the gaps,
the led's are cooled by 3 fans that i removed from old computers and a 12v power suply from my dad's old lift chair

the hole in the center holds a 250w 14k mh light and the two acrylic struts hold a 96w pc atinic and also serv to direct airflow tward the led plate in the back.
i plan to remove the atinic bulb some day and add some uv and cyan led's to replace them but for now i'm sticking with this hybrid system becouse it's working great abd i love the color variations i can get with the dimable led's.
i am runing a sort of expairiment with another tank that only has led lighting wich includes cool white, royal blue, blue plus a few red's and greens for color and a string of uv and cyan's soon to be added. ill put peices of the same coral in each tank and see how they do in the different lighting. the tanks get water changes on the same day and i often exchange water between them to keep peramiters the same so i don't have to aclimate much when moving animals between tanks, i think all this should make a fair compairison fo my hybrid system and an all led system . i will start taking pics for a post soon, i'm just starting to aclimate corals into the all led tank.

heres the all led canopy for my 72 bowfront, it will also get 80* lenses. no polished aluminum on this one(yet) just corse silver metal flake sprayed on, it does not work as well as the polished alminum so it looks like ill be back at the buffer again soon.
the pic of the tank is with no lenses and the lights on full blast(i think) wich has proven way to much for any of the corals from the other tank right now i'm runing them at about 40-50% with lenses

I love the "floating canopy" look and still undecided about making one for my build...that was the plan all along, however after hanging my array kind like the sleek look of it.
I now thins is not the world best DIY build but I like it. :)

and what the heck free bump right!

I have a splash shield to add too. It's cut and ready to mount but I think I'm going to do a round of mix and match on the LEDs first. After that I hope to get a typhon.

60 RB XPE, 6 B XPE, and 24 NW XPG. Please note that the numbers below were adjusted up 10% for the fact that the sensor was made for 'sun' and the blues were bumped 30% for the fact that these are LEDs. Right or wrong, I don't know but I wanted to do my best not to burn anything.

Thanks Steve, the stand holds a small 26x24 footprint tank and it opens on all 3 sides.
The hinges you're asking about are for the right side door panel.
My wife didn't approve of the doors I build so I'm currently working on a 2nd set.

I'm using Blum 110 Deg Face Frame Euro Hinges, Face Mount
