Show us your filtration system - the heart of a good SPS setup.

I see a lot of great tanks online, but you rarely see below the tank. How do you keep your tank in peak condition to get colorful SPS corals?

So, take some pictures of your filtration system. Let us see the reactors and sumps. What do you dose to keep SPS? I know there is a thread for filters and lights, but this is for SPS tanks. We require special parameters to keep SPS. Tell us your secrets and methods. :eek1:

cool. I know some don't like to show the mess under the tank, but let us see pictures of the setup. This will give one a chance to clean the area and take some pictures. :-)

I don't have big SPS colonies yet to prove that it works but I have been trying for a while finding what I need or don't need.

I just put a thread on building a sps tank and am extremely interested in under the tanks also. Tank and stand are being built by Miracle Aquariums as we speak but I need definite pointers on the guts for a sps tank.

StrategicReef, does the LiterMeter III work well for the dosing of the Calc and Alk? I am looking at dosing this way and am trying to find the best way of delivery.

Thanks

Yes, it works great. The 2 bottles go down close to exactly the same amount over a month. my 3rd pump is used to dose kalkwasser now

Strategicreef, where did you get your bottles, what size are they (l,w,h) and capacity? Looking for something similar for my alk, cal and kalk.

They look like the 1-gallon containers at Bulk Reef Supply. I don't remember the height (~18"?) but they're 2-1/2" x 9-1/4" footprint.

Yes from BRS these bottles are great (they used to be gallon jugs outside the stand)

Lets see more pictures.. or is everyone keeping hush and won't show you under the hood like at the street races.

Here is mine. All I use is saturated pickling lime in my top off for calcium and alk...then dose mag as needed.
