Silly clown fish!

I have a small Maroon Clown female that keeps trying to seduce my Banggai Cardinal. Or at least it look like it is. It looks like she is trying to get his attention my swimming up to him and fanning her tail off and around it. This can't be normal.... or is it?
She lost her mate a few months ago and has been on her own until a week ago or so when the cardinal was introduced to the tank.

i think she's trying to intimidate it. my maroon did that to my blue damsel when the damsel was teasing it; did it to show her agitation. I could be wrong, but that's how mine acted sometimes. Also did it to new fish. (hey, it's better than biting)

She's not shoving, pushing or nipping at him. It seems like she is trying to get his attemtion

Sounds like he/she is trying to just "shoo" her away. I have a very large maroon in a tank with a nigripes and a small mappa puffer (kinda of a variety tank since they really don't have homes yet or mates). The very large maroon regularly fans her tail at the nigripes to keep him away bu never bites, nips or otherwise bothers him...

Cnd_D- If you hare going to find that marone a mate you should do so soon. The longer you wait the harder it will be on the new clown.

I got her a new mate this weekend, but I haven't introduced them yet. My female is at work, so I'll be taking her home to her new friend tonight
