Skimmer (opinions please)

Looking at upgrading my 15 gallon to a 40 breeder and 15 gallon sump (50 gallons total).

Want a good cone type skimmer.

Looking at spending no more than $400.

For that size and water volume. All you need is a 90g or 135g rated skimmer. Personally i use a 135 AquaEuro USA on my 80g SPS and my nutrient levels are always at 0, along with phosphates may get 0.10. I love the skimmer it seems to skim well and out of all my skimmers its my favorite. Give them a look.

Also what do you plan on keeping in the tank? How many fish? Determining your bio load will better help you decide on your skimmer.

Its going to be mostly SPS with a few softies...

I would say a medium fish load but fed heavy to keep happy and fat.

Kinda narrowing the list down to:

This looks interesting....
