Skimmer overflowing

I hv a asm g1x skimmer and it has been recently skimming to the point where every other day foam is trying to breakout from the cover. Is about 2 weeks since i started with a new bio pellet but i never experienced this before after a week of running new pellets. Can someone chip in?
