Skimmer Suggestions Wanted

I'm in the market for a new protein skimmer. Right now I'm using a Lifereef 24". I need to go bigger.

Suggestions?

I have to say that, since last talking to Nammy and Nammy being a believer in heavy water movement, my tank seems to be less dependent on the PS.

That said, I have one tank with a Remora Pro which works great, is hang on, does not cost an arm and a leg, but needs a little DIY gadget (simple) to make it operate more quitely - it is otherwise very noisy!

I also have a home made version made of 3" PVC made by Jaze (still thank you Jaze) which worked very well on my downstairs prop tank.

After running a becket skimmer for the past 6 months, I'm a huge fan of them. I can find the info on the guy who made mine- he was much cheaper than any of the other ones out there (under $200 for the skimmer shipped), and the workmanship was great. Not sure on watt to watt comparison on pumps, but pretty sure it does use a much higher watt pump than the euro/gsm skimmers with the needlewheels.

I have the hang on skimmer that I won at the frag workshop last spring. It works pretty well, but nothing like the becket. No idea how it compares to the larger models. Uses standard venturi, but well designed the way the water circulates in the reaction chamber.

Percision Marine beckett skimmer I love it I have had alot of needle wheels and venturi but I have not seen many skimmers that will out performe these. They do take large pumps to run though but well worth it IMO
