Here is my setup thread:

This is the best picture I could take, but my glass is filled with these:

Take a look:

I know it's hard to tell, but each little white spot is one of those little guys, walking around. The entire tank is completely buzzing with these little guys. they run around the rocks, but most annoyingly, cover my glass and go swimming, which makes my water look dirty.

I've always wanted a Green Mandarin Dragonet, but have heard that you need an established tank. Can I get one?

No....there are NONE that i can see in there. Should I add some rubble? currently there is only a small sandbed and chaeto

I bought 50 lbs of LR from a LFS and put it directly into my new tank. Within about a month and a half, then tank was filled. I took a loser look at the fuge and there are some on the sides, but a bunch in the chaeto. So, hopefully, that will help sustain the population once I introduce a predator.

I had a lot of that on my glass for awhile. But since I had to switch tanks due to a bad lid/fan, now I don't see them or as many amphipods. I'm sad. I'll be buying more after my vacation every week to 10 days so that my tank can repopulate. I seriously want a mandarin and don't want to have to wait months and months for one. But it's going to be a long time I know because I'll need to learn to culture them so that I can feed the mandarin in quarantine.

how exactly can u buy these guys?

I would wait quite a while longer. My tank did the same thing within the first few months of establishing my tank. Eventually they died off and then came back again. I noticed from the pictures in your start up thread that you used dead rock for your set up. This rock will eventually be established but it needs some time to do so. Dragonets are for advanced hobbyists and shouldn't be added until a tank has been established.

Don't get me wrong, I love your setup. I would also recommend you throw a bunch of live rock rubble and chaeto in your sump if you haven't already (kinda hard to tell from the pictures.)

Best thing you can do with this hobby is take your time. There are several phases of cycling that any new tank needs to go through that many people rush.

hey Crim. Thanks for the input. If you take a closer look, I used 50lbs of live rock and 50 base. I will add some rubble to the fuge (which already has chaeto growing in it).

I will do some more research. One of the things I've read about is a "pod-pile" which I can add to my dt.
