You might be able to keep some softies like leathers and mushrooms, but I think that would be pushing it.........best to keep Fish Only with this set up......

hmmm im gathering ur kidding me cuz i currently have a 100g tank that i keep some sps in and lots of other things i think it should do the job

im just wondering what otehr things i can add that would be helpful...

i was thinking about ozone but have never used it and if there was anything else i should do/add before i add water so its not a pain to change things later

Looks like you got what you need.....fill the sucker up. These things are like Hot Rods.....they are NEVER done. You will always want something newer, different, better.

that was a good comparison lol

i know what u mean i thought i was happy with my 100 but i wasnt but then i got this and the price has added up qucikly now my wallets empty lol to fill it up with nice corals hopefully i can fins some nice cheap frags once i get her going :D

Im loving the three sided starfire but you might want to reconsider the pan world pump hard plumbed in your stand, the vibration might be a little overwelming. I also why did you purchase a ASM skimmer. Although, Asm skimmers are good skimmers, i found them mediocer at best. That doesnt mean you cant be succesfull with a ASM i just expected to see a banging skimmer since everything else was so nice. Its like Mercedes, Mercedes, Mercedes, BMW, BMW ....oh *** HOnda!lol I hope you get the point and you better get that thing filled already.

lol thanks Ken!

i know but i was wondering if i should change anything before i do that part i dont want to be stuck with water in a tank if i should have done something differntly...

hey how much sand should i g4et for the tank i think i only want like an inch to inch and a half

and what would be a good size and brand ive never bought sand before

see i have heard good things about the ASM skimmers that they were like the euro-reefs but cheaper

i hope it will work i dont really wanna buy anotehr one if i dont have to

yeah u know i really didnt know which way to go on the return pump for the sump

i was looking for something around 1200gph .... so these pumps are kinda loud? would it help if i put a vibration pad under the pump?

yeah im guna get it filled within the week and swtich over my 100 to this tank

yeah i tried to go nice on everything but i havent used most of these products before so i went off of research and others experiences...

IMO, what you have is fine. get it filled up! :D if you find you are lacking something, you can always add it later...

the pump will probably be "noisy" , cause of its fan, but it all depends on your personal preference...some people think certain pumps are loud, others cant hear a thing.

so the pan world has a fan in it thats loud?

how about the Dart i was told that was a quiet pump

i guess i can always swithc it out later if need be...

any body elses thought about the ASM skimmer?

The Dart compared to pan is really quiet. The pan has a slight hum and is amplified when enclosed. I was just exressing my opinion on the skimmer but it will work perfectly fine.

You mentioned possibly adding a 150 watt helide between the 250's. I would skip the 150 and put another 250 in there. You are going to want to have a third halide in there because the de pendants really only cover a 2 X 2 foot area.

wouldnt change a thing except for the skimmer... get a recirc skimmer of somekind that will fit in your sump(deltec?) or a big external beckett type

I think you made a good choice with the skimmer and will be happy with it. I have an ASM G3 on my 110 BB and sure I coulda got a little better performance out of the equivalent ER, but not worth the extra 300 bucks!

The only thing I would change is your UV. 18w is really small for that size tank. I would expect to see a 40w or so on there. I run that same UV on my 40g.

Otherwise, looks like it is going to be a sweet set-up. Did you say you are running the CL from the overflow? If so, are you sure your overflow can handle that much water running through it? Just a thought

Looking forward to seeing it all going

IMO with that return pump I think you'll be blowing dirty water right past that poor skimmer, those skimmers are ment for dwell time.

I agree with the UV, it's way small. I have a 40watt on my 120.
