So this is the new impeller?

I ordered 2 new 6100 impeller assemblies. I remeber you said there the new one piece design. So these are the ones? No brakes or anything?

Also I drop it in just like it is right with the red O-ring down?

I assume that collar on the right goes on the unit itself?

The main reason we did it was to speed up production, the 6000 and 6100 use the same drive unit, their are advantages and disadvantages. It is usually quieter and stronger but the pump may vibrate more. If you have one that works- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

thanks

also, I am about to move from a 120 ag to a 1 inch acrilylic tank - will my magnets work with the thickness? I have the smaller magnets with 6000's; if yes, would this also be ok if I decide to upgrade my transformer to get 6100's?

The larger magnet holders would barely work if you point the pump straight with no angle. The 6000 would work better than a 6100 for this but it would still be doable.

sorry - I am not clear on your answer. are you saying that my current magnets, which are the smaller ones, with my 6000s are not going to work with 1 inch ACRYLIC AND that the large magnets would only work if the pumps were only set straight?

Exactly, the small holder is for 1/2" at most and the larger one for 3/4", if you don't strain the holder with sharp angles of force it can hold on one inch if you use the larger one.

ouch - i guess I need help/advice - (starting new thread)....
