Softies and Low Nitrates

been running NO3 around 30ppm for past year and softies in tank have grown pretty rapidly.

past month i set up an algea scubber and NO3 are down to about 5ppm.
can i expect growth to slow considerably now?
havent really noticed much growth over past month.

If you [target] feed them zooplankton or any other coral food they will grow fast. My nitrates are 0 in SPS tank and only have 1 softie. All corals are doing well.

all my softies are doing fine with no nitrates except for a Kenya which wilted down to nothing. won't try xenia as I have read that they too like water a little dirty.

my softy dominate tank does better with higher no3. I brought it down to accommodate some lps and the softies did not do as well as they normally do. I let the tank go back to how it was and they are back to growing like crazy. I have 10 different shrooms, 5 different leathers, 3 different gorgs, and a bunch of z's and p's.

FWIW, I've seen plenty of happy mixed reef tanks before. LPS, sps, & softies all hugged up together.

ive notice my green tree closes up more randomly than normal..not sure what else could be bothering it. also more recently kenya trees having been closing and growth has stopped. the growth stopping is a fine with me though. few zoas i have seem to be doing very good though.
