Some cheap T5HO lights..Made by Sunlight Supply

+1 !!!

I have this fixture. New Wave 24" 4 bulb. Used it on my 20 gallon and now I switch it from side to side (5 hours each side) on my 75 until I get the Sunpower.

I use two 6500K and two ATI Actinic Blue+ in it.

They are decent fixtures.

I also saw some for sale down in the strip at a place called Pittsburgh Hydroponics or something like that. It is next to Kaya on Smallman street.

They had some 6x54w fixtures with individual reflectors for just a bit over $200. You would need to find bulbs somewhere else though as they don't sell the correct spectrum other than 6500k bulbs.

They also had some RO/DI stuff that appeared to be spectrapure.

how much wat the RO/DI units

I am not sure. I just remember seeing them sitting there. I will try to find the website, they may have them listed there.

I had a 48" 4 bulb over my 75 for over a year. There was nothing that I could not grow (I did kill a few coral along the way). I think it was a great light for the price. JMO

The hydroponic store in cranberry has the 4' t5 bulbs in the 11000k spectrum and they are cheap. I think I paid $8/bulb.

I will have to check that out sometime since I work in Wexford.

Do you remember what brand? That is really cheap!

That store have a name so people like myself that don't live down that way might be able to find it??????????:D

When I went there, I knew the name, (sorry , I'm old and I don't remember it), and it's still kinda hard to find. It's kinda stuck in with some other stores. If I get a chance I'll try to take a ride up that way and see if I can get info on it this weekend. If Adam checks this, he may know it.

Looks like a sharp unit....reminds me a lot of the lumenarcs...For some reason though, I thought you were doing T-5 on your new tank, or is that just for your actinic supplimentation?

I am not 100% sure on the direction. It will either be all T5 or MH and 4 or 6 T5. I keep going back and forth. I just really love the look of MH and not sure I could give them up completely. I figure if I go MH and at least 4 T5's I could get the best of both worlds. dunno probably won't decide until the last minute. I like T5's but for me they just have an unnatural look to them. The reflectors on the Hydro site have the hammertone surface just like the lumenmax elites. They are about 50-60 cheaper also.
