Some questions about rics

I want to get some rics, the insane ric thread here has me drooling. My girl really likes the rics as well, she keeps a oceanic nano;)

I was wondering what type of light/flow these beauties like. I have been reading a bit and it seems that ric florida needs stronger lighting than yuma, is this true?

I have a 150w 14k mh and tons of flow, she has the oceanic biocube 14g with stock pc lighting and flow.

We would both like to try our hand with these beautiful animals but are completely new to them. Any input, pointers, info, suggestions, all are appreciated.

Either should do fine in both of those tanks.. just make sure in the higher light situation you acclimate them.

Also if you have "tons" of flow, make sure it isnt so much its going to pull the mushroom right off the rock.. i'd keep them in medium flow .. possibly high as long as its indirect. if they dont like it they'll just get up and move.

I have yumas (with slightly less color) and fl rics doing well in my aquapod 12g with stock pc lighting and the same with a bit more color doing great in my 55g with T5 lighting.. hope this helps

i would acclimate them all first then slowly move them up ..yumas dont take as much light..i keep most of my rics on the bottom with medum flo..
