The [San Francisco] Bay area has been hit really hard but down here in LA we just keep getting mild soaks- not enough for mudslides and such.

Greg, I'm about 170 miles north of you (Fresno area), and we're getting the bottom end of the recent flooding and rain. I'm actually typing this after coming home from a rained out AAA baseball game. I work in construction, but on the communications side (building schools). So my beat up work van has been home to my 20D lately, because all the weather has made for some interesting photo ops.

Take the camera with you, folks! That's the only way to get that "Right place at the right time" photo.

Some decent shots there, not all flowers are simple to photograph. IMHO, in some shots the lighting is too harsh.
