Spray painting PVC

I wanted to know if anyone has spray painted their PVC works or light diffusor spray paint before? I am setting up a frag grow out tank that will be seen and wanted it to look better than just plain white piping. Can you use the Krylon Fusion spray paint that is made for plastic in a saltwater application? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of people that use the krylon fusion paint for pipes or other plastic in there tanks. If you do a search on here for krylon I will bet you find lots of examples.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately everytime I try a search it states it is for premium members. Never have been able to get it to work. Thanks again.

I painted all my in-tank PVC with Krylon Fusion and it becomes inert once cured since it bonds to the PVC itself. Make sure you get the "Fusion" stuff though.

It Sticks to PVC very well.. But IMO I wouldn't use it for pipe in the water...Its paint.. sooner or later it will probably start to come off.. What then lol.. Its only been out for a year or so most people that have used it really dont know what its going to do down the road.. Any pvc in the water will be purple within a month or two at most.. Coraline loves plastic for some reason.. If you don't want to wait simply paint the parts with Purple PVC primer.. Once dry is very reef safe... Plus its just stains the pipe so you dont have to worry about it down the round..HTH

Also, do not use any paint on any pipe that is above water (or near the water line) and/or near your lights, because it will not "dry" but become a sticky gooey mess.

You could always just use the black pipe instead of white.
