can i put 2 different color millepora corals side by side and even let them touch or will they sting? i know an acro will sting it or watever but didnt know if 2 diff colors of an acro or mille will sting each other

I have a yellow and a red that grow right next to each other. When one branch finally grows close enough the yellow wins. The bases, however, are in a standoff where they are growing a vertical plate between them. The yellow side is starting to curve toward the red so I think without intervention the red will lose. I will take a couple pics the next chance I get.

This is the two corals, back when they first started touching. The places circled are where they interacted. In this shot the yellow is just starting to sting the red branch and white slime is starting to form. I trimmed the branches on both corals back the next day after I saw the damage on the red one which was about an inch of the branch. When the bases touched, the yellow burned the red one back about 3/8 inch, but the red grew right back and the plate started, what is circled is the aftermath of the first sting. Quite possibly they might not both be milles either. One may be a prostrata and the other a mille.
