Does a Squamosa's siphon gap a bit more than a Derasa's. I just got a Squamosa today from another reefer and it opened up great but the siphon is open more than on my derasa and I am wondering if this is normal. thanks
Extent of opening is highly variable for both species, and will change over time. Don't worry too much about a wide open siphon unless there's a failure to extend the mantle too.
