Squamossa diasappeared?

When my lights came on today my 1.5" squamossa has disappeared. His shell is there, but the innards are totally gone. Nothing out of the ordinary lately, no indications of foul play.

Ideas?

I can see you've been here awhile, so don't take this the wrong way, but I don't know anything about your tank. Could you provide some parameters (pH, Lighting, Fish/Invert inhabitants) so maybe we can narrow down the field a little? Some of these guys that frequent this forum may know about your setup, but I could use some more info. Thanks.

175 watt MH over a 7 gallon Nano. Water params all good, tank has been up for 1.5 yrs, Clam has been a resident for the last .75 yr. No fish at all, small crew of snails and red legs, multiple sps. Auto topoff and calcium levels in 400-450 range.

My one fear is that I cut back too much on the phyto lately and that might be the reason.

Cutting back on the feedings might have been a problem. There's a good chance the clam was dead and the cleanup was doing their job; especially those hermits.
