starphire glass worth the $$$

Is starephire worth the extra money?How does it compare to acrlic?Are all Oceanic tanks Starphire.Where would be a good place to get one? I live in Michigan.

Starfire glass is generally a custom order thing. I know you can get a custom tank from Oceanic with the glass. I have a tank coming from Miracles in Glass, which is up in Canada, not to far from Michigan, that has 3 starfire sides. I can't wait! I've seen the clarity on a freind's tank, and it truly is different than regular glass. VERY clear and no green tint of any kind. You almost can't see the glass.

I have the front Display panel of a 110g tank starphire..I got it including the stand for 150.00...You can usually find people leaving the hobby and selling this stuff for pretty cheap..

Starphire glass clarity is like non other. Very soft feeling to it.

Easier for taking photos too.

If you want clearest of the clear, then acrylic is your only option. Starfire is the clearest for glass but still has some green tint (although very little). You also have the distortion from glass as well.

It is your choice - there are plenty of debates between glass and acrylic.

Yes it is worth it! My 300g has 2 96"X 30" vewing panes of Starphire. I will never own another tank that does not have it. Here is a pic of my tank pics come out great.
