Steel stand build ?s

I'm planning on making a steel frame for my 240g AGA and wanted to know what materials others have used and if there is a calculator that could show the weight bearing loads of steel.

I wanted to make the stand out of 1" remnant steel angle iron. The plan is to put vertical supports every 2 feet (unless I can get away with only 1 vertical support at 4 feet) on the front and back of the stand.

Then put 4 cross braces across the top and bottom (again every 2 feet).

How does that sound?
