I'm thinking about using 2 Turbelle Stream 6060 pumps at opposite ends of a 75 gal (48x18x20) and alternating the 2 pumps with a Wavemaster Pro. Would this be too much flow in a sps tank?
As Tommy said- no wavemakers. The pumps use a centrifugal clutch to keep them spinning in one direction. If you didn't know most pumps can spin either driection and pump water- a prop pump can't it will suck in water if it goes backwards. Frequent on and off grinds up the graphite/plastic gears and can burn out the motor. If you want on and off or slow and fast function get a 6000 or two. In these pumps the electronics ensure it will only spin one direction when used with our controllers which interface with the built in computer.
