I found a hermit crab on my LR. He is large, kind of brownish redish not brightly colored at all, with stripes of a lighter shade of tan or slightly yellow that go up and down his segmented legs. His mouth is outlined in the same line and color too. He is quite the adventure boy as he is mounting the corners of the tank.:mixed:

Anyone seen this fella before?

I drew what his legs look like as they are not clear. Does that help?

see your crabs?

see your crabs?

:p

That's funny.

Hey! Excellent site. Thankyou so much. I was getting nowhere.

The ID on this guy is
Phimochirus Holthuisi

Now maybe I can find something on him. I hope. Thanks.

Yep...he's almost as big as he gets. and pretty reef safe, as they go. I wonder what kind of fish I should get for a 5.5 gallon?

speedy boy!

I believe he is a little too fast for my corals. He's like setting a big dog loose in a freshly planted garden.

I'll keep him out of the garden and feed him separately for now. Maybe later he can visit or not. He is very efficient.

My daughter calls him dinosaur.
