Substrate for a small clam tank.

Can anyone recommend a good substrate for a clam tank? I want to set up a small cube tank that is 24"x24"x12" tall. I will be using a single halide pendant for lighting. Is oolite too fine or should I use a bigger grain. I have like 25lbs. or so of small grain coral sand sitting in my garage. I probably could use that stuff for a calcium reactor though. Thanks.

I would use a coarser type of sand or crushed coral if you are going to place the clams on the ground. This way they can attach and feel more secure.

I agree should be larger-Caribsea has puka shells which are perfect for clams to attach. amAd

It's just a Visio brand glass tank. Visio is distributed or made by, not sure, the Clear-For-Life acrylic tanks company.
