Sump Flow

I'm adding a 10 gallon sump to a 30 gallon tank. What would be a good return pump to buy and how many GPH is recommended?

I would try to run something like 60-90 gph through the sump. I chose an Eheim pump, but there are a lot of good pumps on the market.

I just set up a 10gal. sump for my 37gal. I used a mag7 pump. I think it is a little much, as I have a good bit being recirculated through the refugium to keep from overflowing the tank faster than the overflow can handle. Looking back, I think the mag5 would be perfect. If the mag5 isnt enough for you, you can swap the impeller for the mag7 impeller and it will be the same thing. You can swap the impeller housing or ther impeller itself to go up and down on a few of the models.
