I hooked up my sump to water test my tank and the baffles came loose. I used a silicon but dont remember what kind. What is the best stuff to use to secure baffles in a sump? And if it is silicone what kind of silicone?

well, is the sump glass or acrylic?
and what about the baffle?
silicone will only work if both were glass.

Have I screwed up or are baffles and bulkheads two different things?
You can disagree all you want, but it is a fact that silicone does not bond properly to acrylic.Originally posted by Toddrtrex
Going to have to disagree. All 3 off my glass sumps have acrylic baffles held with silicone --- the oldest being 7+ years old.

You may have gotten away with it, but it does'nt mean it is the right product for the application.
