sun coral not opening

I have a a little over a year old tank gallon live rock with 150 pc lights. my other corals are doing great so i bought a tiny suncoral frag for $20. That was 2 weeks ago. It still has not opened fully. Its in good flow..It will open just enough to let me give it some food, but not like the pictures is see on the site. could i be doing something wrong?

Mine opened the same night I put it in the tank, but I have heard of others taking like a month to fully open.

Just keep feeding it, mine took well over a month to really look good

Mine took a few weeks as well. Just keep feeding it every day and it will open up fully.

You may try to cover it by the top of cut-off plastic bottle and feed it through the neck a couple of times - the coral will be inside of the soup of food, it should promote opening for a feeding.
Or the same in a separate container for a 40-50 min maximum, covered from the light, the same idea. Worked for me.
Then feed in the tank.
