Sun coral

wonderful and beautiful coral. a bit labor intensive. each polyp is its own creature and needs to be fed several times a week. otherwise it will wither and die of starvation....several colors that I know of...
black (brown to green sometimes) pink orange yellow.... may be a few more but those are the regulars...

Barrier Reef in Boca has 2 yellow with orange colonies, each with about 12 polyps. Can't remember the price though...

Melev's page has some great info on them, feeding, care, and colors.

they are a bit of a pain.. fine balance between keeping tem alive and feeding the algae..

where i work i got lucky i found that in our invert system we always have tiny tiny tiny baby shrimp

i stoped keeping these at home because of algae probloms

dendros are very nice but very exoensive. I have 2 sun corals and they do very well. Good filtration and normal water changes and I have never had an algae problem.
