The basics are calcium and alkalinity. Some tanks require magnesium, but everything else is optional.

:eek: That's all ,I do anymore. I'm thiking about some light strontium dosing isnce virtualllly every other trace is in abundance in the salt mix except storntium.

I guess it depends on the salt you use both instant ocean and reef crystals is already high in strontium so likely no need to supplement.

The only strontium test kit I tried was Salifert and it's a hard test to administer.

I don't add any supplements other then ALK,CA,Magnesium. An occasional iron to my macro algae if it starts to loose it's color but that is infrequent.
