Switching from canister to sump

I was wanting to switch from my canister filter for my 75g reef to a sump/refugium. Dump question, but is that the same thing as a wet/dry filter?

It depends on what is being used as a filter in the canister filter and how long you have been running it.

If you haven't been running it long and/or you are only using mechanical filtration methods (Activated Carbon, Polyfilter, etc) you can easily remove it. If you have been using a Bio media such as bio-balls, then you would have to remove them slowly.

I just have carbon and polyfiber in it. I have LR in my tank. Any suggestions as to where to buy one? I don't feel comfortable making one.
