I just ordered some t-5's for my 29 gallon tank, i got the nova extreme t-5 with lunar lights 24" 96W setup

right now all i have is some red and purple shrooms with some polyps and zoos

right now i have 200W of regular flourescent lighting

now my questions:

1) how should i introduce the lighting as to not kill my corals
2) will this lighting be good for shrooms and zoos only? i like these two corals and plan to get more of different kinds

thanks

erick

start your lights off on the shrooms like for 6 or 8 hours a day then move them up..i got all kinds of corals under my T5s....my mushies love them i keep mine on bottom of my 75g..keep us posted..

I have lots of shrooms, softies, a crocea clam, a few SPS, and LPS under my T-5s and everything is doing wonderful! Best of luck!

what i really meant was do i have enough t5 wattage for them? i am just using 200w of standard flourescent light right now and i'm not sure how that compares to my "soon to arrive" 96w of t5 wattage

The way T5s work with their reflectors is slightly different from pure wattage output by other bulbs but it sounds like you should have plenty of happy light coming when your lights get there :)

If you have things living under the light now, they should thrive inw hat you're getting :)
