t5 help

has anyone had an experience with this t5 setup? i was thinking of getting 2 of them for a 75g im setting up.

if there is a better setup out there feel free to post it.

http://www.catalinaaquarium.com, and try and get some info on the company. id rather buy from the source than ebay. youll have better cc protection.

regarding the lights, it may be something to consider. they have a 6 bulb 36" unit for $220. just the 6 bulbs are an easy $120, so thats just $100 for the rest of the "fixture"

what i dont like are the "end caps". they look like simple hard drive power connections, and are most likely not waterproof, which will lead to eventual corosion.

but again, at just $220. would be interesting to see their return policy, may be worth the trouble to run them for a month.

however, if the bulbs are caca, then this is all pointless.

doesnt look too promising.

id rather go tek. the bulbs are top quality, and the resale value will be 10x what this would be. if you are to resell it incase its a dud.
