T5 overkill?

Would an 8X54 TEK light hood be overkill as far as light goes in a 90 gallon 48L X 18W X 24H tank? Would like to be able to have the ability to house any light dependent sea creature. Thanks!

I would not say that, that is overkill. You'll probably get some great growth and color with it too.

Conefree, pardon my interruption, but would 6x54 TEK lights be acceptable for a 90G without much more than soft corals, fish, rock, maybe 1 anemone, and inverts?

i believe the 8 lamp tek hood is wider than 18 inches.....
