T5HO ballast questions

I'm making a retro pendant with 6x24w and I need 4 bulbs one one ballast and two on another. What ballast should I use for both and how far can the ballast be from the bulbs? I'm new to T5 i've only used MH and tired of them so i'm making the switch

icecap 660 on the 4 and an icecap 430 on the 2.

I rather go for two icecap 660 because they are decent better price than 430, I think about 20 dollars difference.

If you decide go for 8 bulbs 660 will do that. imo I am planning to retrofit for 7 bulbs or 8 bulbs I will get two 660s

8 24" for a 33 gallon would be way overkill but I think the i'll get one 660 and the other an adavnce ballast the comes with the hello lights retro unless anyone has had bad exp with them?


anyone know if the 660 is program start or instant start?
