Tank arrival....and so it begins

Things seem to be OK in the tank. I am getting better with my water change speed and process. Got another one coming up tomorrow. Using 2 giant brute cans on wheels and have a siphon hose to drain it out to the street. No more carrying 5 gal buckets to dump. Picked up a few more things and am excited to get a thing or 2 or 3 tomorrow. Also getting a wave maker next week.

Very excited about these, especially the blue and green stick (haha). Have had them for about a week now. Everything looks great to me. I wonder how to get more purple to show on the torch better. Trying to figure out a light setting that works best for the whole tank. The torches are fully extended and move great in the tank. I could literally just stare at the tank all day and night.

Tank is coming along nicely. I like your new corals. Best of luck with them.

How is the tank doing?

Well it has been a minute…….

at 3.5 months in I got the dreaded Dinos. Osteopsis type. Brown stuff was everywhere. I followed advice from the large Facebook Group Mack’s Reef Dinoflagellates Support Group. It has helped a ton. I just got a UV sterilizer on 2 days ago To finish up the job. Basically it is my understanding that I got the dinos because my Nitrates and Phosphates both were at 0 readings. I tried for so long to increase them. My tank was too clean and not enough bio diversity. Added more fish, Pods, and Phyto. Everything looks way better now. Not 100% yet recovered but better. The pictures are from where I started with the dinos.
